Energetic Native English Teachers Needed in Yamanashi, Japan
Seeking Native English Speakers for February start in Yamanashi, Japan. English Plus is a unique, privately-owned conversation school located in the centre of beautiful Yamanashi Prefecture, approx. 140 km west from Tokyo. We pride ourselves on our pleasant company atmosphere and welcome people who are interested in working with others in a cross cultural environment while teaching children and adults at our custom-built facility in Showa-town, Yamanashi. In addition to lesson preparation and instruction, duties include participation in regular training sessions, student evaluation and event planning. We are a sister school of the Pacific Language School, and our older children’s lessons are taught using the PLS method.
The successful candidate will have;
1. Teaching experience and a love for working with young children or adults
2. Friendly, outgoing and flexible personality (the nature of this position requires a team-teaching with Japanese staff)
3. Outstanding communication skills (Japanese language ability will be useful but not required)
4. Strong work ethic with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to take initiative
5. Healthy and strong mind and body, ready to play and be active
6. Desire to embrace Japanese culture and to learn from the experience of living and working in Japan
Minimum Requirements are;
1. Bachelor Degree
2. Ability to commit to a 25 month contract, from March, 2012 through end of March 2014
3. Valid International Driver’s Permit or Japanese Driver’s License
Terms;
Full time position working from Tuesday to Saturday. Some weekend events required. Approx. 3.5 weeks paid vacation per year. Approx. one month paid training (75% salary). Company car available for private use on weekend. Housing support provided (Monthly rent approx. 58000 jp yen plus utilities). VISA sponsorship.
